It is produced from corn kernel by corn wet milling procedure. It is a fine, white powder of slight yellowish shade, with no foreign odor and taste. It is not soluble in cold water.

Corn gluten is acquired in processing of corn and consists primarily of corn gluten, starch and kernel shell. It is of light yellow color, odor typical for germ and has moderately acid taste. |
